Thukra ke usne Mujhko, kaha ke Muskuraao!

Thukra ke usne mujhko,
kaha ki muskuraao!
Maine hass diya,
aakhir sawal uski khushi ka tha.
Maine khoya woh jo mera tha hi nahi,
Usne khoya wo jo sirf usi ka tha.

Koi dekhe to humari bebasi,
Hum sabhi ke ho jate hain
Par koi humara nahi hota.

Mana ki tum jeete ho zamane ke liye,
ek bar jee ke to dekho hamare liye.
dil ki kya aukaat aap ke saamne,
hum to jaan bhi de denge aap ko pane ke liye.

Finding a Partner: The British Kashmiri Way

Once upon a time in a British Kashmiri family....

The son, Imran, wanted to marry a girl who studied with him....

His father wanted him to marry his niece.....

His mother wanted him to marry her niece....

Imran told his parents about the girl he thought would make an ideal partner for him....

He explained how they met at University, they didn't talk often or spend much time together....

But they both realised that in their hearts they had the love of Islam and this was the main characteristic they both wanted in a life partner.....

The father became angry and explained how his brother would stop talking to him if Imran didn't agree to marry his niece from Pakistan....

The mother had a similar story to tell.....

Imran was confused, but he wanted to keep his parents happy, so he decided to listen to them.....

The mother and the father couldn't decide whose niece was more suitable.....

So the choice was given to Imran.....

Imran chose his father's niece, and his mother became upset with him.....

Imran then decided not to marry any of the two choices he was given.....

They started to search for a new girl......

They agreed on a list of requirements.....

Same caste, educated, wealthy family, beautiful girl, knows how to cook, speaks both English & Mirpuri, has to be from the same region back home, must be the same school of thought Islamically, etc.

The list became very long, Imran got fed up and said nobody would match the description.....

Imran said my list is better and more simple....

It said.....Good Islamic Character, someone I can live with and who will be a good wife.....

Eventually Imran got married to the girl he knew at University.....

The parents finally accepted her, though she was a different caste, didn't know how to cook, Imran told them she was from the other side of Pakistan, actually she was an Indian Muslim, but Imran kept that hidden from his parents.

She didn't speak a word of Mirpuri, but with time Imran's mother and father realised that she was the right girl for their son. They realised that their son being happy was more important than keeping their family relationships strong by marrying from within the family...

Moral of The Story

Love is not the problem, a boy likes a girl, they want to marry, but the family stops them, either on caste, money, education or whatever reason. The process of marriage is supposed to be simple, today it has been complicated by our communities and our society.

Allah is Giving them Permission to marry and do something HALAL (and rewarding) but people of the world stop them and as a result they are left in a HARAM relationship, it's a real shame. This is why Islam tells us to keep the conditions for marriage simple and get married young and in a simple way, that way fitnah is reduced significantly. But we (and our families) have a list of 100 things we want in a partner, our parents have a list of 200 things, as a result of this we neglect the advice of Allah (swt).

Always remember, in simplicity lies EXCELLENCE. Even when we do find a suitable partner, we try to do a full analysis and identify weaknesses, we forget that no human being is perfect. Our intention should always be to find someone with good Islamic character and give more importance to this quality than any other characteristic, be it physical appearance, financial status, age, education, etc.. At the end of the day, we are human and our decisions can be right or wrong, but we must put our trust in Allah (swt) when making our decisions.

The Importance of Kindness in Islam

♥ "Solving other peoples’ problems is a way to soften hearts and establish harmony. Sometimes a cruel man's hardness melts away when he sees some gentle soul, out of sheer kindness, help him out of his difficulties. There are abundant examples of this in our daily lives and in the life of the Prophet (saw), but unfortunately many of us do not take heed. This is one of the reasons why there is so much sorrow in the world"

♥ Prayer changes things.worry changes nothing.
so instead of worrying about what u can do .
just pray and think of what Allah Can Do for you :)

♥ The Prophet (sallAllahu'alayhi wa sallam) said;

"Never a believer is stricken with a discomfort, an illness, an anxiety, a grief or mental worry or even the pricking of a thorn but Allah will expiate his sins on account of his patience."

{Bukhari & Muslim}

♥ When you are down to Nothing, ALLAH is up to Something. The Faithful see the Invisible, Believe the Incredible & then Receive the Impossible.....Allahu Akbar

♥ The tongue pierces faster, deeper and sharper than any sword can: think carefully before using such a weapon.

♥ Are you facing a problem? Just have faith in ALLAH & let ALLAH's promises shine on your problems.

♥ SubhanAllah..! Everyday we have some worries about things happening in our lives. But Allah says in Quran, “Say: ‘Nothing shall ever happen to us except what Allah has ordained for us…’”
[at-Tawbah; 51]

♥ The darkest days will be OVER. What I found difficult to uphold today in my life, will be made so much easier - and the key to that is truly and only Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala Ameen Summa Ameen

Invocation for when you find something becoming difficult for you
Allahumma laa sahla 'illaa maa ja'altahu sahlan wa 'Anta taj'alul-hazna 'ithaa shi'ta sahlan.

O Allah, there is no ease other than that what You make easy. If You please You ease sorrow.

Ameen Yah RabilAlameen

Billi aur Totay Ki Prem Kahani Hai Mushkil

Tumse dil jo lagaya toh jahaan maine paaya
Kabhi socha na tha yun meelon door hoga saaya
Kyun khuda tune mujhe aisa khwaab dikhaya

Is it permissible for a Muslim woman to ask a Muslim man to marry her?

Question: Is it permissible for a Muslim woman to ask a Muslim man to marry her?

Praise be to Allah.

With regard to the idea of a Muslim woman offering herself in marriage to a righteous man, that does not contradict the idea of modesty, so long as he is trustworthy with regard to his religious commitment and moral attitude. It was narrated that Thaabit al Banaani said: I was with Anas ibn Maalik and ...a daughter of his was with him. He said: “A woman came to the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and offered herself in marriage to him. She said: ‘O Messenger of Allaah, do you want to marry me?’” The daughter of Anas said: “How little was her modesty. How shameless, how shameless!” Anas said: “She was better than you; she had a liking for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) so she offered herself in marriage to him.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 4828.

Imam al-Bukhaari included this hadeeth in a chapter which he entitled: “A woman offering herself in marriage to a righteous man.”

Al-Haafiz ibn Hajar said:

Ibn al-Munayyir said in al-Haashiyah: One of the subtle points of al-Bukhaari’s knowledge is that he from the specific story of the woman who offered herself in marriage to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) he derived a general principle; he understood that it is permissible for any woman to offer herself in marriage to a righteous man whose righteousness she admires, and if he likes her he may marry her subject to the conditions of marriage being fulfilled.

These two ahaadeeth – the hadeeth of Sahl and the hadeeth of Anas, both of which mention the woman who offered herself in marriage to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) – indicate that it is permissible for a woman to offer herself in marriage to a man, and to let him know that she has a liking for him, and there is nothing wrong with her doing so. And the one to whom a woman offers herself in marriage has the choice of either accepting or refusing, but he does not have to express his refusal outright, rather it is sufficient for him to remain silent.

Fath al-Baari, 9/175.

Al-‘Ayni said:

The words of Anas to his daughter: “She is better than you” indicate that it is permissible for a woman to offer herself in marriage to a righteous man, and to tell him of her liking for him because of his righteousness and virtue, or because of his knowledge and honour, or for some characteristic of religious commitment, and that there is no shame on her if she does that, rather that is a sign of her virtue. The daughter of Anas (may Allaah be pleased with him) looked at the externals and she did not understand this properly until Anas said: “She is better than you.” As for the woman who offers herself in marriage to a man for some worldly purpose, this is something that is abhorrent in the extreme.

‘Umdat al-Qaari’ Sharh Saheeh al-Bukhaari, 20/113.

But it is better for a woman to inform her wali (guardian) of her desire to marry a righteous man who is trustworthy with regard to his religious commitment and his moral attitude, without telling the man bluntly. This may be understood from what one of the two women did, when she said to her father – concerning Moosa (peace be upon him):

“And said one of them (the two women): ‘O my father! Hire him! Verily, the best of men for you to hire is the strong, the trustworthy’”

[al-Qasas 28:26 – interpretation of the meaning]

al-Qurtubi said:

With regard to the words of Allaah (interpretation of the meaning):

“He said: ‘I intend to wed one of these two daughters of mine to you, on condition that you serve me for eight years…’”

[al-Qasas 28:27]

Here the father offered his daughter in marriage to the man. This is an established custom whereby the righteous man of Madyan offered his daughter in marriage to a righteous man of the Children of Israel, ‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab offered his daughter Hafsah in marriage to Abu Bakr and ‘Uthmaan, and the woman who offered herself in marriage offered herself to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). So it is good for a man to offer his female relative who is under his care in marriage, and for a woman to offer herself in marriage to a righteous man, following the example of the righteous salaf. Ibn ‘Umar said: When Hafsah became single (due to her husband dying), ‘Umar said to ‘Uthmaan: “If you wish, I will marry Hafsah bint ‘Umar to you.” This was narrated only by al-Bukhaari, 4005.

Tafseer al-Qurtubi, 13/271

But it should be noted that most of what happens nowadays, when a woman likes a particular man, is the result of haraam causes, such as a careless attitude on her part whereby she talks to him and sits with him. A person who has evil motives may take advantage of such an offer to achieve some of his aims. So we must beware of this and protect our honour from anything that may besmirch it.

And Allah knows best

Short Story about a Husband and Wife

A boy was born to a couple after eleven years of marriage. They were a loving couple and the boy was the apple of their eyes. When the boy was around two years old, one morning the husband saw a medicine bottle open. He was late for work so he asked the wife to cap the bottle and keep it in the cupboard. The mother, preoccupied in the kitchen, totally forgot the matter.

The boy saw the bottle and playfully went to the bottle and, fascinated with its color, drank it all. It happened to be a poisonous medicine meant for adults in small dosages. When the child collapsed, the mother hurried him to the hospital, where he died. The mother was stunned. She was terrified how to face her husband.

When the distraught father came to the hospital and saw the dead child, he looked at his wife and uttered just four words.

What do you think were the four words?

The husband just said "I Love You Darling"

The husband's totally unexpected reaction is proactive behavior. The child is dead. He can never be brought back to life. There is no point in finding fault with the mother. Besides, if only he have taken time to keep the bottle away, this will not have happened. No
point in attaching blame. She had also lost her only child. What she needed at that moment was consolation and sympathy from the husband. That is what he gave her.

Sometimes we spend time asking who is responsible or who to blame, whether in a relationship, in a job or with the people we know. We miss out some warmth in human relationship in giving each other support. After all, shouldn't forgiving someone we love be the easiest thing in the world to do? Treasure what you have. Don't multiply pain, anguish and suffering by holding on to forgiveness.

If everyone can look at life with this kind of perspective, there would be much fewer problems in the world.

Take off all your envies, jealousies, unwillingness to forgive, selfishness, and fears and you will find things are actually not as difficult as you think...!!!

India concerned by presence of Chinese Troops in Azad Kashmir

NEW DELHI: India on Wednesday reiterated its concern over the presence of Chinese military personnel in Azad Kashmir, saying that it had already conveyed its objections to Beijing.
Defence minister AK Antony told reporters after opening the four-day navy commanders conference here that India was aware of the presence of China’s Peoples Liberation Army troops in Pakistani Kashmir, reported PTI.

"We are aware of their presence there. We have conveyed our concern to China in this regard," Antony said in reply to questions regard the presence of some combat engineers among the 3,000 odd Chinese in Pakistan controlled Kashmir.

"Over the last many years, we are consistently developing our own military capabilities so that we can meet any challenge to protect our territory and our sovereignty," he said.

To a question on China’s objections to India exploring oil in parts of the South China Sea off Vietnam that Beijing claims to be its own territory, Antony refused comment -- Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang is in the capital for talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

However, external affairs minister S M Krishna, ahead of the talks, told reporters that all bilateral issues will be on the table for discussion between the two sides. Krishna was answering a question if the South China Sea issue will be part of discussions with the Vietnamese delegation.

To another question, Antony said the Admiral Goshkov aircraft carrier that India has bought from Russia, where it is presently undergoing a refit, will definitely be delivered in December 2012.

AJK President Sardar Yaqoob Khan and  Prime Minister Ch Abdul Majeed addressed the gathering and thanked the government of Pakistan for launching various mega projects in AJK including three medical colleges, a cadet college in Dadyal, IT university in Kotli, Mirpur, Muzaffarabad and Rawlakot districts.
WAPDA has constructed Dhan Gali Bridge across River Jehlum in the upper reaches of Mangla Dam Reservoir about 80 meter down stream of existing suspension bridge. It is 45 km from Rawat and Islamabad-Dadyal Road.
The bridge will provide an all-weather and all-traffic facility between Dadyal and Rawalpindi /Islamabad.
China International Water and Electric Corporation (CWE) and China Railway First Group  (CRFG) have constructed the bridge under a joint venture, arrangement, officials said.

Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani in Dadyal Azad Kashmir

Sameer Hussain (Dadyal Online): Pakistani Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani visited the city of Dadyal on Thursday 13th October 2011. On the same day, he inaugurated the new Dhangali Bridge. A lot of Dadyal Bazaar was closed down for security reasons and local businesses were shut down for the visit. Public opinion is divided on the visit, on one hand people feel that the visit has been over hyped, a lot of money has been wasted and the event has disrupted local businesses.

On the positive side, a lot of projects have been announced, which is a step in the right direction. A Cadet College in Dadyal is good news because it will encourage the young generation to get involved in something productive, help them to learn discipline and become role models. An Information Technology University in Kotli is great news, especially considering the popularity of technology in the region which is always increasing given the advent of mobile internet as well as wireless broadband technology. Qualifications in technology will place students in a good position, whether they choose to go abroad for work or search for employment within Pakistan.

A separate desk at Islamabad International Airport (Benazir Bhutto International) for the people of Azad Kashmir sounds like an interesting idea, though some people regard this as an excuse for the Airport authorities to carry out more rigorous checking at both arrivals and departures.

A gas line has also been promised at some point in the future which has been welcomed by locals. However, given that Pakistan is facing power and gas shortages, such promises are being doubted at this stage.

The people of Dadyal, in particular the supporters of Chaudhary Afsar Shahid (Minister of Dadyal) will see this as a great day in the history of Dadyal. A Pakistani Prime Minister visiting Dadyal and demonstrating not only with words but also with proposed plans and actions that Dadyal is important, as well as Azad Kashmir and the Kashmir issue, is almost like a dream coming true.

Many people will be relieved that we finally have a new and much safer bridge at Dhangali, the long wait is finally over and it's an occasion to celebrate. One must express gratitude to all the Chinese Engineers and construction workers that have worked hard to make this project a reality.
